The blowpipe is a cylinder-like rod with a spearhead, that was traditionally used as a hunting tool and occasionally, as a weapon of warfare by the indigenous people of Sarawak in olden times.Though some tribes in the interior of Sarawak still use the trusty blowpipe to hunt, more often it is now utilized as a prop in traditional dance performances or is kept either as a piece of an artifact or for decoration.
Belian wood is often used to make blowpipes.
